| Welcome back my friends. This is Michelangelo speaking again but about a different topic. The topic I will be talking about today is my time period which is the Renaissance. The Renaissance started in the year 1490 and ended in the year of 1600. The Renaissance started in Italy, then spread north throughout out the rest of Europe. Some of other famous people whom lived in my time period were Leonardo da Vinci, the famous sculptor Donatello, and Niccolo Machiavelli. I think during this time period art was looked at by people in a totally different point of view. Great painting and great sculptures were also created in this time period. Also painters developed new techniques for representing both human and landscapes in a realistic way. Some of the things that changed were the increased use of reason, and more focus on life. I am an important individual in this time period because I made a lot of changes and a lot of progress. I and all the other artist in the Renaissance made most of the famous paintings and scriptures. We made people look at art in a different way. |

My name is Michelangelo Buonarroti. I was one of the greatest artists. I lived from 1475-1564 in Italy. I was a great Italian sculptor, painter, architect, and poet. Some my accomplishments were redesigning St Peter’s Church in Rome. Also in 1504 I made a sculpted of David. I believe I made people see art from a different point of view. I also was a man from the renaissance time. I also painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. This is a little bit about myself Michelangelo.
